Kathryn Lubow, LMFT, SEP
I provide an integrated mind + body + spirit approach to psychotherapy and utilize mindfulness and compassion based approaches informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing and EMDR. IFS offers a perspective in which we see that the mind is multiple. Together, we explore and get to know the parts of ourselves which are often stuck in the past, thereby creating space for the innate wisdom of our Self to heal, become integrated and bring clarity. We also may reprocess memories with EMDR, thereby understanding how the patterns developed from the past may be impacting you. I find that part of our work is in helping you to step into that space in yourself where you can access the insight, self-compassion and resilience of your most authentic self.
I am trained to teach the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program developed by Dr Kristen Neff and Dr Chris Germer. I co-created a Trauma Informed Self Compassion Program as well as a Self-Compassion for Parents Program with Compassion LA.
I am also an Advanced Intuitive Healing Practitioner trained through the School of Intuitive Greater Healing and a Certified Therapeutic Imagery Facilitator through the Hypnosis Motivation Institute.
Based in Los Angeles, California.
